Deryk (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built the Skarmetoo app as an Open Source app. This SERVICE is provided by Deryk at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

1. Information Collection and Use

Skarmetoo is designed with a privacy-first approach. The application executes all screenshot analysis and data processing locally on your device.

• Local Processing: We do not collect, store, or transmit your screenshots, analyzed text, tags, or notes to any external servers. All AI-driven analysis is performed on-device using local models.
• No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect personally identifiable information (such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers).

2. Permissions

To provide its core functionality, Skarmetoo requires the following permissions:

• Storage/Media Access: Required to read screenshots from your device’s gallery so they can be analyzed and organized within the app.
• Internet Access: Required uniquely for the initial download of the AI models (e.g., Gemma) and to facilitate external links (such as the donation link). No user data or images are transmitted over the internet during regular use.

3. Data Storage

All data generated by the app, including summaries, tags, and custom notes, is stored in a local database within the application’s private storage on your device. This data is deleted if you uninstall the application or manually clear the application storage in your system settings.

4. Third-Party Services

The app may include links to third-party services (e.g., Buy Me a Coffee). If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

5. Security

We value your trust in providing us your screenshots for analysis, and we strive to keep everything on-device to ensure maximum security. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
